In light of Father’s Day, our passage for this week is a point where Paul speaks from his heart to men. In 1 Corinthians 16:13-14, he says, “Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.” His word of encouragement shows us five characteristics of a godly man.

Today, we honor the women whose strength, sacrifice, and prayers built the foundation for generations to rise. Mothers have always reminded us — even in difficult seasons — to keep climbing.

As Langston Hughes wrote in *Mother to Son*:

> “Life for me ain’t been no crystal stair…”

Yet, like the mother in the poem, our mothers kept pressing forward through hardships, disappointments, and struggles — while encouraging their children to never sit down, never turn back, and never give up.

The Mississippi Organization of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, proudly salute every mother whose resilience continues to inspire strength, leadership, and perseverance throughout our communities.

To every mother who climbed so her children could soar — we thank you. Happy Mother’s Day! 💜💛
