Asking for a prayer. We are getting an online prayer circle going. My love to everyone who reads this. Let's pray for each other and all of those affected by hurricane Helene today & incoming Milton because prayers are needed right now. If I don't see your name, I'll understand. I ask my family and friends wherever you might be, to post this status for one hour, to whisper a prayer for all of those who have family problems, health struggles, job issues, or worries of any kind and just need to know that someone cares. Do it for all of us, for nobody is immune. I hope to see this on the walls of my family and friends. I did it for someone else, and you can too ! 💜🙏🏻💜

Join Us for Adult Sign Language Classes!
The Progressive Women’s Association is excited to announce a new opportunity for our community. We will be offering free adult sign language classes, held once a week on Wednesdays at noon, starting September 11th through October 16th.
Details:
• Dates: Wednesdays, September 11th to October 16th
• Time: Noon (lunch will be served)
• Location: Uptown Event Center, 305 Washington Ave.
• Instructor: Janel St. Martin
Whether you're a beginner or looking to refresh your skills, this course is open to all adults interested in learning sign language. Janel St. Martin, an experienced instructor, will guide participants through the fundamentals of sign language in a supportive and engaging environment.
Registration: Registration is required as space is limited. Please contact our director Elinda, 304-624-6881 to reserve your spot or for more information.

Hi Clarksburg,
I would just like to thank everyone that came out to support First Friday. It seemed that all that wondered off the "beaten path" and came a block over to Washington Avenue to the PWA had a great time. The entertainment at the Uptown Event Center/PWA was superb ....great sound...great people..The Fridley Brothers...they were awesome. If you missed the activities at First Friday you certainly missed a lot. The Library was there giving away book bags and school supplies. Thank you, what a blessing to watch the faces of the kids pick their book bags out. ❤️ and thank you to all that helped the PWA concession be a success. Again, thank you to one and all for supporting First Friday and the PWA !!

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the PWA events on Friday and Saturday. Despite the low turnout in town, we had a successful hot dog sale at First Friday, and the spaghetti dinner and meet and greet was tremendously successful. Thank you to Ben, D'Annunzio's Bakery, Health Bread in Northview, and Allen, at R.d. Wilson for their continued support. Thank you also to Anita, Dismas Charity, and McDonald's for their contributions. We are grateful for everyone's help in making our fundraiser a success. All funds raised will go towards community programming, the Pet Pantry, and food pantry.
