This is exactly WHY the Corp of Engineers need to get back to dredging the Ohio River AND ODNR needs to be dredging our tributaries!
To the Blessed EPA: The fish WILL die when their habitat closes in. Dredging will only make their life better! Wake Up!
I love fish, but let’s be real here, human lives are worth more than fish!

Thank you to all who could attend our meeting last night.
Kiven A. Smithberger is the Chair and Jim Hunt is co-chair. I’m the secretary.

We discussed who can be contacted to get involved.

Jimbo is contacting the Army Corps of Engineers
Taylor is reaching out to William Doyle, Chief executive officer of Dredging Contractors
Phil is contacting Marshall and Belmont County EMA directors
Discussion of contacting Commissioners, port authority, Jason Clutter, director of transportation of the school district, businesses in the old Ormet location.
Also discussed getting drone footage of the creek and pulling out the flood maps.

We need all the townships on the Riverfront involved and working on getting WV leaders involved. It isn’t just Sunfish Creek, it’s the River that needs dredged also.

Next meeting is Sept 3rd at 6pm at CVFD
