This is why visibility matters. This is why we take Pride so personally.

To some people, Pride might seem loud. It might seem extra. It might seem unnecessary.

But for the young person who feels alone, for the teenager wondering if they belong, for the person who has never seen themselves reflected in their community, visibility can be life-changing.

Research shows that having just one accepting adult can significantly reduce su***de risk for LGBTQ+ youth. One person. One voice. One safe place.

At Claremore Pride, we’re committed to being that visible reminder that every person deserves love, acceptance, and community. We aren’t loud for the sake of being loud. We show up because someone out there needs to know they’re not alone.

✨ Be the change.
✨ Be the safe space.
✨ Be the support.
✨ Be that adult.

Because while Pride may not be for everyone, it could mean everything to someone.

Sunny Dayz Mural Fest is Oklahoma’s first mural festival dedicated to supporting underrepresented artists through public art and community-centered programming. From May 23–30, 37 local, regional, and national artists will create 26 large-scale murals throughout Downtown Claremore and the Lilac District, transforming the area into a vibrant outdoor art experience. Visitors are invited to explore the murals in progress all week long and attend the free Festival Day celebration on Saturday, May 30 from 12-8 pm featuring live art, local businesses, community activities, and more. The festival is expected to bring thousands of visitors to Claremore while celebrating creativity, culture, and community connection.
