🌈 Our Claremore Pride Little Library has officially been open for a little over a year! 📚💖
Over the past year, more than 20 books have found their way into the hands of our community, and we're continuing to add new titles every few months. Thank you to everyone who has donated books, stopped by to chat, borrowed a book, or helped take care of our little library. Your support means the world.
Our collection includes children's books, young adult novels, adult fiction, self-help, and more. All featuring stories and resources for LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities, because everyone deserves to see themselves reflected in the books they read.
A quick reminder: the weather has caused the wooden door to swell a bit, so it can be tricky to close. If you lift up slightly on the door while shutting it, it should latch properly. Unfortunately, leaving it open has damaged a few books, so we really appreciate everyone helping us keep them protected.
As always, the library is monitored by a security camera to help protect the property.
We added several new books this week, and we can't wait to keep growing this little resource for our q***r and BIPOC community. Thank you for the continued love, kindness, and support.

Reading over these makes me a little teary eyed 🥹
Thank you to my sweet assistant Avy for bringing my idea to life.

A lot of people think Pride is simply a celebration of sexual orientation. But to us, it’s something much bigger.

Pride is about building a world where people don’t have to be afraid to be themselves.

It’s about choosing kindness over cruelty, understanding over assumptions, and community over division.

You don’t have to agree on everything to believe that every person deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. We can have different backgrounds, beliefs, and life experiences while still choosing compassion.

When people feel safe, accepted, and valued, our entire community becomes stronger.

That’s what Pride represents to us.

Not exclusion. Not division.

Hope. Belonging. Humanity. Community.

Because at the end of the day, the world could always use a little more kindness, and there’s room enough for all of us.

What a day. 💜🌈

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to every single person who made Claremore PrideFest 2026 such an incredible success.

Whether you attended, volunteered, performed, sponsored, donated, set up a booth, shared our posts, or simply cheered us on, you helped create a day filled with love, acceptance, and community. Because of you, our festival was a place where people could come together, be themselves, make new friends, and celebrate exactly who they are.

To our volunteers, entertainers, vendors, sponsors, community partners, security team, and everyone who worked behind the scenes: thank you for your time, your energy, and your belief in our mission. None of this would have been possible without you.

Seeing so many smiling faces, families, allies, and LGBTQ+ community members gathered together reminds us why we do this. Together, we’re building a stronger, more connected Claremore where everyone belongs.
