Client Spotlight: Thomas Davila
Thomas was born with the most severe form of Spina Bifida and has overcome significant medical, accessibility, transportation, and caregiving barriers on his path to education and employment. People with disabilities continue to experience unemployment at about twice the rate of people without disabilities, which makes Thomas’s journey even more powerful.
In 2025, after 24 years of dedication, Thomas earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism. He brings strong writing and verbal communication skills, resilience, flexibility, and a powerful motivation to succeed.
At EMS, Inc. dba Employment Means Success, we are proud to support clients like Thomas as they work toward meaningful employment. Our role is to help individuals identify their strengths, prepare for opportunities, connect with employers, and receive the individualized support they need to succeed in the workplace. For Thomas, that means helping highlight his communication skills, writing talent, education, resilience, and drive.
Employment is more than a job — it is independence, confidence, purpose, and opportunity. If your organization is looking for a skilled, determined, and motivated candidate in journalism, communications, marketing, writing, or a related field, Thomas is ready for the opportunity.
As Thomas says, “I can’t stand up, so I’m standing out!”
