Start the day with some fresh air, movement and community! Walk, bike, scoot or roll to school!

We’d love your help growing the Sycamore Bike Bus! 🚲 We’re looking for both riders and adult volunteers as we explore more neighborhood routes and build a fun, safe way for students to ride to school together.

Sycamore’s FAMILY DANCE is coming up on Friday, October 23! ❤️🌿

Join us for a fun-filled night of dinner, games, music, dancing and a silent auction—all while supporting our school! 🎶🍽️🎟️

Let us know if you’d like to volunteer! 🙌 We can always use help with set-up, clean-up, running games, and putting together baskets for the silent auction.

The Sycamore Bike Bus is growing and exploring multi-school routes with neighboring schools! We need volunteers and riders to help make it happen! Families of all ages are welcome to join as we build safe, fun routes to school with our neighboring schools.

🚶‍♀️🚲🛴 WALK & ROLL TO SCHOOL! 🌿

Wednesday, October 7 is National Walk & Roll to School Day! Sycamore is joining thousands of schools across the country in celebrating the benefits of walking, biking, and scooting to school. 💚

Students who walk or roll will receive a sticker and be asked to share their estimated distance traveled. If you live farther away, consider meeting up with a nearby family and walking together!

The LA County Library’s 47th Annual Bookmark Contest is here! Students can design their own bookmark for a chance to have their artwork featured at the Claremont Helen Renwick Library and libraries throughout LA County. 🏆📖

🗓️ Deadline: October 17

Pick up an entry form in the school office or use the form above (see The Leaf). Completed entries can be turned in at the library or school office.

re you passionate about or interested in technology use in our schools? CUSD is forming a new Parent & Staff Technology Committee and we hope you’ll consider joining! 🌱

No need to be a technology expert! If you’re interested in learning, sharing experiences, considering different viewpoints, and collaborating to support student-centered technology practices, apply!

CUSD is looking for parents and guardians representing different schools, grades, experiences and perspectives to join staff for ongoing conversations around educational technology, including 🤖 artificial intelligence, 📱 classroom technology use, 🔐 online safety, 🌎 digital citizenship, equity, 💡 innovative learning, and other emerging technology issues.

📅 First Meeting: September 16, 2026
📅 Second Meeting: January 13, 2027
➕ One additional meeting is expected later in the school year.

Families of students learning English as a second language are invited to hear how Sycamore supports our multilingual learners throughout the school year.
