Happy Saturday, friends. Here’s a few shots from last night. The Eastern Kingbird was a surprise visitor to the backyard. It actually stayed for a bit so I was able to get a decent shot even tho it was at the very top of the maple tree 🤣

The other birds have been going through their summer molt. This Cardinal isn’t looking too bad but I’ll post some molt shots soon. Meg is not a fan of those, but I had no idea about bird molting before I got into this and think it’s good to share that knowledge.

I know the MoDos are always one of Linda’s favorites ❤️ love the colors in that shot.

How about a goldfinch to brighten our Monday? I’m thinking this is a juvenile, but I’m not 100% there.

The weather has been fall-like here in Ohio and I’m kind of diggin’ it! Who knows maybe a bird walk this weekend?! 🤷‍♂️

Meg sent this to me the other day and I thought it was pretty neat. Although more local to Cincinnati friends, it's a great inspiration for everyone - including me.

Artist and graphic designer Mike Gertz has launched the "Loveland Bird Search," a downtown Loveland, Ohio scavenger hunt featuring over 100 hand-painted miniature birds hidden across 30 local businesses, parks, and restaurants.

Happy Sunday! It won’t be long and these goldfinches will be switching back to their winter plumage. I can’t remember when it happened last year - we were just excited they finally came to our feeder!

Good evening and happy Friday, friends! I wanted to share a few of these photos that I took - a couple last night and then the female Cardinal after work this evening.

We've got more Cardinals and Blue Jays then ever, so i've been refilling the feeder a little more often too.

Happy Monday, friends! I’m not sure if you remember about a month ago I was talking about the Brown Trasher that’s been hanging around here? Well, it’s been hanging around again! You’ll notice the eyes are much more yellow now 🙂 The last photo shows the juvenile with the grayish eyes. Pretty wild!

It feels like it's been raining non-stop, but there have been some breaks in-between.

I've been seeing the male juvenile cardinal around here lately, but this little thing hopped in tonight. They're not as bright, but she sure is beautiful!

Good morning and happy Taco Tuesday, friends! It's been awhile since we've done a zen. Honestly wasn't sure if I could still do it. 🤣

Yesterday, I saw a post from one of my friends - just a photo post but it had some zen-like music with it. I stopped and took it in for a bit. It felt good to slow down and listen to music while looking at some beautiful birds. It reminded me of why I started doing zen and it inspired me to do another zen.

I know times get tough, but hang in there. There's brighter days ahead even if it's hard to see right now.

I hope your day is just as bright as this beautiful American Goldfinch! ✌️❤️
