Cincy Women’s Advocacy will be participating in the Children’s Day Festival again this year on June 6th, and are in need of books to pass out to the kids attending.
If you or anyone you know has new or gently used books that you are looking to rehome, please reach out and we will gladly take them off your hands! We are also accepting donations via Venmo and our fundraising link in our bio.
Any books left over from the festival will be used to help restock little libraries around Cincinnati.
The purpose of International Children’s Day is to celebrate multiculturalism and diversity. It aims to provide meaningful opportunities for children to engage, play, learn, and uphold joy, while also empowering children to act. In addition to upholding children’s fundamental right to joy and safety, the event can also educate attendees on barriers to children’s rights, including systematic exploitation and state sanctioned violence. Though the Cincinnati Palestine Solidarity Coalition emphasizes the lives and expereinces of Palestinian children, we all understand the interconnectedness globally.
