It was 11 years ago today that we earned our charter and were declared a regular and constitutional Lodge of Master Masons by the name, style, and title of Alembic Lodge No. 793. Happy anniversary, Ole 793!

From the archives of Ole 793: Bro. Al Embic and his lifelong sweetheart, Mae Blic, invented a summertime game called River Rumpus. It was similar to tug of war, but with some notable differences.

This photograph captures the two engaged in battle against a boat full of women they had just met. Would Bro. Embic and Mae Blic pull the ladies ashore, or would the ladies yank Bro. Embic and Mae Blick into the mighty Ohio River?

That detail is lost to time; however, we believe that Bro. Embic and Mae Blic would have consumed Bubbling Jade before entering upon such an important undertaking. As a result, their emboldened muscles would have delivered them an easy win.
