Last year, one neighbor turned a church parking lot into a place for neighbors to gather and connect.

Sometimes, connection starts with something as simple as giving people a reason to show up. That’s the spirit of National Good Neighbor Day on September 28.

These 90-minute sessions are conversational, practical, and open to everyone. Whether you’re a family member, direct support professional, administrator, community member, or someone looking to strengthen their own connections, there’s a place for you here.

Last year, one neighbor delivered to her neighborhood school.

The sign said, “We Are Glad You Are in the Neighborhood.”

It was a simple gesture that made people feel seen. That’s the heart of National Good Neighbor Day on September 28: finding simple ways to connect with and show up for the people around us.
