Awareness Can’t End Here!!! As May comes to an end, I keep thinking about what Brain Cancer Awareness Month really means.

It is not just a color. It is not just a month.
It is Elena. Children. Families. Stories. Empty chairs and hearts. Brave fights. It is research that MUST happen faster. 💛

Brain tumors are the leading cause of cancer death in children and that is something I will never be okay with. It is NOT RARE!

I intentionally put this quote on the wall outside of my office, where I can see it all day long.

Because often, the weight of what we are trying to do feels incredibly heavy and daunting. It is a great big goal and I am just 1 small person. But everything is possible if you believe.

For me, it is not hope. It is RESOLVE.

If I end my days here on earth never achieving this, at least I will be able to face my Elena with the honesty that I did everything I could to honor the legacy she left in our hands. 💛

Even on days when I feel like I haven't completed a darn thing...it still is one step towards doing what I can to change the future for other children.

“Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.”

There is nothing you won’t love about Grayson. 💛

Even while battling brain cancer, he remains a gentle caretaker of his animals. With three dogs, two cats, and an axolotl already at home, Grayson is always eager to rescue and welcome new pets into the family.

Grayson’s family moved to Cincinnati from Northeast Ohio to be closer to the world-class care at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. And according to his parents, Grayson has embraced his new city wholeheartedly, even becoming a Bengals fan while his parents still cheer for the Browns.

We 100% agree with you, Grayson! 🐯
