Free admission & pet friendly. To get it off the ground, founder James Jenkins went door-to-door to local businesses, pitching the idea with the class project as his proof of concept. He reconnected with classmate Page Lansley, the project’s original

designer—work now carried forward by Old Soul Creatives. The first events were held in a parking lot on Vine Street in Cincinnati’s Over-the-Rhine (OTR) neighborhood, starting with just eight artists. Early on, a portion of artist fees benefited Over-the-Rhine Community Housing, the owner of that lot. Through hard work and community support, Art on Vine has grown to host 80+ artists every month—filling Rhinegeist Brewery in the fall and winter and Fountain Square, Washinton park and Elm Street Plaza in the spring and summer—and now receives more than 100 artist entries monthly. The event has also partners with and benefited a rotating roster of local nonprofits. Art on Vine exists to provide a unique, fun, one-on-one art-buying experience while celebrating and supporting artists’ financial independence. Everyone has a story ours just started as a collage project presented in front of HP, Proctor Gamble and Western Southern Financial Group in 2012.

Seeing Elm Street Plaza come alive with neighbors, families, and friends supporting homegrown talent has defined our summer—and we are closing out this residency with our biggest markets yet.

Final 2 Outdoor Dates at Elm Street Plaza: • Sunday, September 6 (12:00 PM – 6:00 PM): Our massive Labor Day Sunday gathering featuring 80+ curated Midwest creators, local food trucks, the plaza splash pad, and cold craft drinks at the Pavilion Bar. • Sunday, October 4 (12:00 PM – 6:00 PM): Our official 2026 outdoor summer residency finale.

Today, looking out over our outdoor summer residency at Elm Street Plaza, it feels surreal to see what this tradition has become—the premier lifestyle anchor of a brand-new downtown core.
