Great communities are supported by investing in what matters most. If approved, Cimarron Energy Center would generate new local tax revenue that could be used to help support schools, first responders, roads and other community services that keep Gray County moving forward.

Congratulations to our Gray County Fair booth winners!
Thank you to everyone who stopped by and shared great ideas for Cimarron. We drew three names from our idea bucket, and here are the results:
1st Place: Dennis Penner – $75 Chamber Bucks
2nd Place: Darrell Roths – $50 Chamber Bucks
3rd Place: Matt Etharidge – $25 Chamber Bucks

Please stop by City Hall to pick up your prize.

Big News for Cimarron!

Cimarron has officially been selected for Welcoming America’s Rural Welcoming Initiative — a national program that helps rural communities strengthen belonging and build even stronger connections among residents.

Why were we chosen?
Because Cimarron is already doing incredible things. Our volunteer spirit, community projects, and commitment to creating a welcoming environment stood out. Welcoming America saw the heart of our town and recognized that we’re ready to take the next step in growing together.

What does this mean for Cimarron?
• Expert coaching and support for community-building efforts
• New partnerships and learning opportunities with rural towns across the country
• Tools to strengthen local programs and increase connection across all ages
• More ways to bring residents together and support a vibrant, welcoming community.
