🔥 Do Tiny Homes on Wheels Need Fire Sprinklers?
One of the most common questions we get is whether a Tiny Home on Wheels needs a fire sprinkler system.
The answer is: it depends on how the home is classified, where it is being installed, and what the local jurisdiction requires.
A true THOW built to an approved tiny home/RV standard is not always treated the same as a conventional site-built house under the residential code. In some jurisdictions, sprinklers may not be required. In others, especially when a tiny home is being permitted for use as an ADU or permanent dwelling, the local building or fire authority may require additional fire-protection measures.
