Oklahoma Jack Russell Rescue - OJRR

Oklahoma Jack Russell Rescue - OJRR Dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming Oklahoma JRTs.

Dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming Oklahoma JRTs, as well as educating future and current owners about the care and needs of this enthusiastic and clever breed. Whenever possible we aim to assist JRT owners considering rehoming their pets to look to training and other options to allow the JRT to stay in the home. If this is determined not to be an option, we work with the owner toward a short-term solution until a foster can be found or until a more permanent remedy (such as a new adoptive home) can be found.

Update- Scout’s found a new home!

Hello everyone! Many of you have reached out asking if I know of any available Jacks. I have been asked to help bring attention to this 2 year old male. My understanding is he is a wonderful boy.

They are going to bring him to me next Saturday to evaluate so I can share even more about him. Although you would not be adopting from us, I’ll be able to share some additional insights with you. I’ll post videos and photos of Scout and my 2 Jacks (Junior and Murphy) and LabX (Lucas).

If you are interested in Scout before then, please reach out to Okie Pet Rescue. You must complete their adoption form I’ve included in this post.

Adopted!
Cisco is looking for a new home. He’s a handsome 3 year old male named whose dad is no longer able to care for him. We’ve agreed to help find him a new family.

Cisco came to visit us today to allow me to assess him, and do a meet and greet with Lucas, Cap’n Jack and Junior. He was wonderful with everyone. He’s also neutered and up to date on all his vetting. I’ll even provide a microchip for the approved adopter.

Cisco will need a home with a fenced yard. It would be great if he could have a companion dog to pal around with. You must have a recent vet reference to be considered to adopt. Cisco’s adoption fee is $150 to the wonderful person who’s been caring for Cisco.

This is not an adoption through us, but we have agreed to assist in finding him an appropriate home. If you are interested please email us at [email protected] and we will email you more information.

Thanks!

This handsome 3 year old male named Cisco is looking for new home. His dad has been placed into a care facility and that means he’s available for the right adopter(s). We’ve agreed to help find him the perfect place to fit his needs.

🍕There's a cute pizza ready for pick-up at the City of Denton Animal Shelter! 🍕

Archie is a 5-year-old and 49.4 lbs Terrier who has been in the shelter since November 22, 2024. With a calm demeanor and a preference for a quiet environment, Archie is an ideal companion for individuals with limited mobility. He is housebroken and leash-trained, making it easy to manage on daily walks. Archie is highly food-motivated, which can be helpful for training and bonding activities.

While Archie thrives in human company, he does not get along well with other dogs, he would do best in a single-pet household. Archie's gentle nature and easygoing attitude make him a wonderful addition to the right home.
