To our community,

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

The support shown through the passing of the Scioto Township Fire Levy means more to us than words can truly express. Knowing that our community believes in us, stands behind us, and recognizes the work our firefighters and EMS personnel do every single day is something we will never take for granted.

We understand the sacrifices and financial burdens many families are facing right now, which makes your support even more humbling. Your trust in us is not just appreciated, it is deeply felt by every member of our department. This levy is more than funding; it is reassurance that the community we proudly serve believes in the mission of protecting our residents, visitors, and neighbors.

We are incredibly fortunate and grateful to serve a community that continues to stand beside us. Because of your support, we can continue working toward maintaining reliable emergency response, improving safety, supporting our crews, and being there when people need us most β€” 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Thank you for believing in us. Thank you for supporting us.And most importantly, thank you for allowing us the privilege of serving this community.

We are truly honored.

🚨 Public Safety Announcement – Overnight Travel Advisory 🚨

Scioto Township Fire & EMS is urging all motorists to use extreme caution when traveling overnight due to forecasted snowy precipitation and decreasing temperatures.

As temperatures drop, road conditions may quickly deteriorate. Please remember:

❄️ Bridges and overpasses freeze first and freeze fastest β€” even when salt has been applied.
❄️ Light snowfall combined with falling temperatures can create black ice conditions.
❄️ Treated roadways can still refreeze as temperatures continue to fall.
❄️ Reduced visibility and slick surfaces significantly increase stopping distances.

Drivers are encouraged to:

βœ”οΈ Reduce speed.
βœ”οΈ Increase following distance.
βœ”οΈ Avoid sudden braking or sharp steering movements.
βœ”οΈ Allow extra travel time.
βœ”οΈ Check road conditions before leaving home.

Our crews will be out monitoring conditions, but we need your help to keep our community safe. Slow down, stay alert, and make it home safely.

If you encounter an emergency, dial 911.

Stay safe,
Scioto Township Fire & EMS
