As Transgender Awareness Week comes to a close, we look ahead to see how life might change for trans people due to the anti-trans campaign promises from the incoming administration. There is a significant fear of more anti-trans legislation, adding to the anxiety and depression many have felt throughout the campaign.

The Trevor Project focuses on su***de prevention among the LGBTQIA+ community, especially young people. Calls to the group’s crisis line increased more than 700% after the election. Another support group, the Trans Lifeline, has been inundated with more calls than it can handle.

Here are some ways trans people and their loved ones can navigate these challenging times.
