Why Stonewall Chico? Here's a short story of triumph that showcases the capability of our community's collective power:

Back in June, Stonewall’s contract renewal with Butte County Behavioral Health was up for a vote. This funding is crucial for sustaining Stonewall’s educational programs, outreach, and support groups. A call to action was given, and our community rallied as social media posts, links, and talking points were shared. The result was nothing short of remarkable. In the end, 74 heartfelt comments were sent to the Butte County Board of Supervisors, and in a unanimous decision, the Board of Butte County Behavioral Health voted to renew Stonewall Chico's contract. We at Stonewall continue to be grateful and humbled by your ongoing support, which has kept our lights on and our doors open; empowering us to continue our mission.

If you missed our Coming Out For Art event, it's not too late to see the gallery! The art will be up in the Habitat Lab (199 e. 13th street) this week at the following times for visitors to peruse and buy if they want!
Tuesday 10/11 - 2-4pm
Wednesday 10/12 - 6-8pm
Thursday 10/13- 6-8pm
Friday 10/14- 6-8pm
Saturday 10/15- 6-8pm..plus extra hours to be announced.

In regards to other artists, Stonewall Alliance wants you to showcase your art at our upcoming event, Coming Out For Art (COFA).
Deadline for Submissions is Oct. 4, 2016.

“Coming Out For Art” is an art show that gives a creative outlet to the LGBT*Q+ community to fully express their feelings and attitudes surrounding sexuality and gender in a productive and positive way.
