Your unwavering support made it possible for us to serve the Hermosa community with love, purpose, and pride. Without you, our mission would never have become a reality. 💪✨

This is not “goodbye forever” it’s simply a new beginning and an opportunity to reimagine a future Hermosa filled with hope, unity, and possibility. 🌻

Let's have a mini taste of Belmont Cragin to support the many struggling locally owned businesses on the south end of Chicago's Belmont Cragin neighborhood.

Come with your family and friends and let's all eat together on the same block. We'll even have some street vendors selling elotes, cotton candy, and balloons safely operated by the children and grandchildren of our older vendors. We might even have some street musicians on the sidewalk or in the restaurants too!

💔 Our hearts are heavy, but full. Though our leadership team didn’t reside in Hermosa, Hermosa always lived deeply in our hearts. We gave our time, our love, and our dedication because we believed in the people and the potential of this community.

While some questioned our right to serve because we didn’t own property here, our commitment was never about titles or addresses it was about impact. We stood for Hermosa even when it wasn’t easy, and even in silence, we fought for what was right.

Unfortunately, the lack of support and financial burdens we faced along the way made our decision clear. Special thank you to Alma Martinez-Kreuser (YOU ARE AN AMAZING HUMAN BEING, WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE FOR 10 YEARS) ❤❤❤❤

After 10 amazing years of community, volunteerism, support, sponsorship, and most of all LOVE we say farewell. 🕊️

To our incredible volunteers and board of directors, thank you for giving your time, heart, and dedication to a community that meant so much. 🙌🏽💪🏽

One person alone can’t change much… but together, we can change the world. 🌍💫

We leave you with our love, legacy, and hope that future leaders will continue to support and uplift this amazing community we call home.

💙 A Message to Our Amazing Board of Directors, Past & Present 💙

Today, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to every single one of our board members, past and present. 🙏🏽

We are and have always been a volunteer board. Though many of us may not physically live in Hermosa, Hermosa has always lived in our hearts. 💖

We’ve given selflessly our time, our money, our energy, and our unwavering dedication to a community we believe in: one that has too often been overlooked, disinvested, underserved, and forgotten. Yet, we saw its strength, beauty, and potential every single day. 🌻💪🏽

We tried our best to be seen, to uplift, and to make a difference. But due to lack of funding, volunteers, and ongoing support, we must now close our chapter in Hermosa. 💔

Our hope is that future leaders will continue the work with the same love, heart, and passion that this board has always had for the Hermosa community. 💫

We will forever cherish being part of such a resilient, strong, and diverse neighborhood Hermosa, you will always be home. 🏡💙

Although our physical office has now closed due to a lack of funding, we want to take a moment to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to our incredible leaders, supporters, and neighbors who believed in our mission at the Hermosa Neighborhood Association 🙏🏽💙

Opening our office was once just a dream and because of YOU, that dream became a beautiful reality 🏠✨

Your dedication, love, and support allowed us to create a safe, welcoming space for our community a place where hope, connection, and opportunity grew 🌻💫

While our doors may have closed, the impact we made together will live on in the hearts of everyone who called Hermosa home ❤️
