Our First Draft project truly brings our mission to life! This year, First Draft 2026 showcased the incredible new work of 11 diverse Chicago-based dance artists. In 10 years, we’ve produced 51 new works by 34 artists—each one a woman, an artist of color, or both.

We believe every artist deserves a platform, and every audience deserves access to bold, new dances. If you’re inspired by our work, consider supporting our Spring Campaign. Your donation—big or small—helps us produce First Draft every year.
