✨ WE’RE EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE IT! ✨

After much prayer, planning, and preparation, I’m excited to announce the launch of one of the first initiatives of Return & Arize Global Collective—our Youth Creative Leadership & Restoration Pilot Program!

This 8-week pilot program is a faith-based community ministry initiative designed for youth and emerging adults ages 14–24. Through creative arts, restorative practices, leadership development, mentoring, and community engagement, participants will be encouraged to discover their God-given purpose, strengthen healthy relationships, develop conflict resolution skills, and use their gifts to positively impact their communities.

Throughout the program, participants will have opportunities to:

🎤 Write and perform rap, spoken word, poetry, and music

🎙️ Record in a professional recording studio

🤝 Develop leadership, communication, healthy relationship, and conflict resolution skills

🌱 Participate in community service and neighborhood restoration projects

📖 Engage in our original Return & Arize workbook curriculum

🏆 Celebrate their accomplishments with a graduation ceremony and certificate of completion

At the heart of this pilot initiative is a simple desire: to serve young people God’s way. I believe every young person has God-given gifts, purpose, and potential. My prayer is that this program becomes a place where healing begins, voices are discovered, leaders are developed, and hope is restored through love, wisdom, accountability, creativity, and authentic relationships.

This is only the beginning. Return & Arize Global Collective has a broader vision of serving youth, families, and justice-impacted individuals through prevention, restoration, leadership development, and community partnerships. This pilot program is our first step toward bringing that vision to life.

Our inaugural pilot cohort begins Saturday, July 25, 2026.

If you know a young person between the ages of 14 and 24 who may be interested in a future cohort, or if you’d like to learn more about partnering with Return & Arize Global Collective, we’d love to connect.

Please keep this ministry, the young people, their families, our partners, and our volunteers in your prayers. We believe God is raising up a generation of young people who will use their voices, creativity, and leadership to bring healing, hope, and restoration to their communities.

Helping young people build pathways toward purpose, healing, leadership, and community transformation through the creative arts.

Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, spiritual fathers, and father figures.

Today, I especially want to encourage the men who may feel like they’ve fallen short, made mistakes, or have spent time away from their families. Your past does not have to define your future. God is a God of restoration, redemption, and second chances.

Whether you’re raising your children every day, rebuilding broken relationships, or simply striving to become the man God created you to be, keep going. Your presence matters. Your prayers matter. Your example matters. Never believe the lie that it’s too late.

To the fathers who continue to love, provide, protect, mentor, and lead with humility—thank you. Our families and communities need godly men more than ever.

Praying that God strengthens every father today with wisdom, courage, peace, and hope.

“The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him.” — Proverbs 20:7

Happy Father’s Day! May God continue to bless and restore every father.

The poem, Still I Rise, seems apropos when considering the journey of Maria Moon, who has gone through so many of the same struggles that seem to plague most women impacted by the criminal legal system. Nevertheless, she, like so many others, finds ways to overcome. Now, Maria dedicates her life to finding stable and safe housing for others both pre and post-incarceration. As a member of the Chicago Area Fair Housing Alliance (CAFHA), Community Support Advisory Council (CSAC West), a Senior Housing Justice Organizer, the Westside Health Authority, and founder of Return and Arize, a Youth Prevention Program, Maria has certainly risen, by the grace of God, to great heights in service to humanity. You are celebrated as an amazing woman in history!

From girls to grandmothers, the room was full of purpose and power at our first Women & Girls Ministry gathering under our new name, Return & Arize Global Collective (formerly My Shoes Reentry Global). ✨Held at the beautiful Aspire Center — co-stewarded by Westside Health Authority — this night reminded us that healing, hope, and sisterhood are generational. We’re just getting started. 💜

🌸✨ What a night to remember! ✨🌸

Our first women’s gathering under our new name — Return & Arize Global Collective (formerly My Shoes Reentry Global) — was a beautiful success! 💜

From girls as young as 13 to our seasoned queens full of wisdom and grace, the room was filled with multigenerational love, power, and purpose. Women and girls from across the city came together on July 28th for a time of fellowship, healing, and community building. 🙌🏾👑

Though this gathering focused on our Women & Girls Ministry, our work reaches far beyond — from youth and seniors to individuals returning from incarceration. This was one powerful expression of the larger mission we’re walking out every day.

🫶🏾 A special thank you to those who made this gathering possible — including the Aspire Center, where we held the event. Shoutout to Westside Health Authority for co-stewarding such a vital space for community.

We were deeply moved by every volunteer, supporter, and guest who showed up with open hearts and willing hands. Our founder, Ms. Moon, reminded us of our God-given calling to rise together — spiritually, emotionally, and in service to others.

📌 Did you know?
Return & Arize Global Collective was established on January 19, 2022 and we’ve been busy ever since — creating safe spaces, providing reentry support, mentoring youth, and showing up for our communities.

🗣️ Stay tuned! This is just the beginning. We’ve got more events, outreach efforts, and volunteer opportunities coming your way. You’re invited to walk with us — in purpose, in faith, and in action. 🌍✨
