This weekend the Chicago Hoyas went to Bill Jarvis Migratory Bird Sanctuary for Hoyas Give Baxa. The crew put down mulch and weeded invasive plant species to help preserve the sanctuary’s ecosystem. Consensus from the group is that hands-on gardening-related work is meditative and rewarding! We had some laughs and can’t wait to come back! Thank you to our hosts at Bill Jarvis!

What a fantastic night launching HSIAxChicago!

A huge thank you to the alumni and friends who joined us on Thursday at the Simmons Center for Global Chicago () for our inaugural Chicago Hoya Social Impact Alliance meetup. The energy and enthusiasm for building this local community of social impact Hoyas was truly inspiring as we get this initiative off the ground.

Special thanks to April Donnellan and the Simmons Center team for partnering with us and providing such an incredible space. We also want to give a big shout-out to Londonberry Spirits () for the generous wine donation—the Villa Schinosa Fiano was the perfect touch for the evening! 🍷

We are just getting started and can't wait to see this community grow.
