Last night, our very own Founder & President CJ of the received the Carla Overbeck Leadership Award at the U.S. Soccer Federation’s annual national conference last evening.

The Carla Overbeck Leadership Award is a prestigious U.S. Soccer honor established in 2022 to recognize individuals who demonstrate exceptional leadership, mentorship, and collaboration within the soccer community. It highlights those who foster trust, innovate, and contribute to initiatives benefiting the broader soccer landscape. The award is named after the legendary USWNT captain, Carla Overbeck, who is known for her leadership on and off the field.

CJ is the 4th recipient of this amazing award. Congratulations CJ, we are all so proud of you!

On Saturday, the Tuley Park meeting room and auditorium gym in Chatham, Chicago celebrated CJBF as more than a place to play in 2025, it connected as a community.

Our Fall 2025 has kicked off in Chatham, Chicago! Week 1 of 10 weeks of free soccer with end with some fantastic games of soccer.

A big thanks to all the players, families, and coaches who joined us for the Chicago pro soccer Doubleheader featuring Chicago Fire FC (MLS) and Chicago Red Stars FC (NWSL)!

From watching the pros in action to celebrating community on and off the field at Tuley Park in Chatham and at Soldier Field, it was a day of connection, learning, and inspiration. It reinforces what this game is all about: relationships, pride, and opportunity.

Thank you Soccer Without Borders!

The CJBF was proud to host another impactful Soccer Without Borders Coaching Workshop earlier this month at UCAN Chicago. Through SWB engaging work, CJBF empowered coaches and community leaders with movement-based tools for violence prevention, team-building, and youth development.
