Water People Theater (WPT) is a Latina-led non-profit organization that believes in the transformative power of theater.

We have been dedicated to producing socially-engaged bilingual and inclusive theater for over two decades. Water People Theater is an inclusive bilingual Latino non-profit theatrical organization committed to promoting social values and defending human rights. A theater that inspires a very diverse audience to seek change and contribute decidedly to equity, justice, and inclusion. We Are Honored To Be The Resident Theater Group At The Instituto Cervantes Of Chicago.

STUDIO Teens at the Lab School of the University of Chicago has been an incredible journey. Young voices imagining a better future, creating, questioning, and growing together.

Through theater games, scene writing, and real conversations about what affects us all, we are not only creating, we are strengthening language, identity, and community.

We are deeply grateful for everything we have built together. The process has been powerful and our showcase is coming up on May 28.
