Today, we honor freedom, resilience, and the continued pursuit of equity.
Juneteenth marks the day in 1865 when the final enslaved Black Americans in Galveston, Texas learned of their freedom—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.
As we commemorate this important day, we reflect on the progress made, acknowledge the work that remains, and celebrate the contributions, culture, and achievements of Black communities.

We are proud to introduce the WIPA Chicago Fellowship Program — an initiative designed to support, uplift, and invest in emerging professionals within the wedding and events industry.

This fellowship was created to help foster greater access, connection, education, and opportunity within our community through a complimentary WIPA Chicago membership experience.

Selected fellows will receive:
• A one-year WIPA Chicago membership
• Access to educational programs & networking events
• Meaningful industry connections
• Opportunities for professional growth within the Chicago events community

We believe our industry becomes stronger when more voices, perspectives, and talents are welcomed to the table.
