Somjit & Somjai's Musical Journey is heading to Fresno this weekend.

Two Lao-American kids trade video games for their family's traditional instruments and find out their heritage was never as far away as they thought. It's a story about music, memory, and the stuff that gets passed down without anyone explaining it.

They'll have copies on hand at LACF's gala this Saturday, September 5 at 6PM in Fresno. The Laotian American Community of Fresno - LACF, celebrates this gala every year to raise scholarship funds for Lao American students. Come celebrate with them and grab a book while you're there.

What if the best thing that ever happened to your kids... was a power outage? 🎮⚡

That's exactly where Somjit & Somjai's story begins.

When the screens go dark, two brothers stumble onto something their video games could never give them — mysterious instruments, patient elders, and the sounds of where they come from.

Part adventure. Part love letter to Lao heritage. Beautifully illustrated and now shipping.
