COMMUNITY EVENT - Arturo Velasquez Institute, which has generously provided space for our Mexican Music School classes for the last 3 years, is presenting a free community festival tomorrow in the parking lot of their Pilsen/Little Village campus. Music School instructors Juan Díes, Ari Cervantes and Mariel Lara will perform at 1:15pm to join the celebration.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT - Last night's National Endowment for the Arts livestream of the National Heritage Fellows award ceremony has been archived for repeat viewing at arts.gov/honors/heritage . The presentation of the award to Juan and Victor begins at the 35 minute mark, and their remarks are followed by a short performance by the two of them with Victor's son Zacbe Pichardo. Enjoy!
