THE EXCURSIONS CONTINUE!

Yesterday, LOC COO Shaun Ellison hosted our second LOC Youth Excursion™, taking three young men to Chicago Bears Training Camp at Halas Hall in Lake Forest. The public training camp offers fans the opportunity to watch practice, interact with players, and enjoy family-friendly experiences.

But at The Lights On Collective, we know the destination is only part of the experience. Every LOC Youth Excursion™ is intentionally designed to create meaningful relationships, broaden perspectives, and inspire brighter futures.

We're excited to continue rolling out LOC Youth Excursions™ for young men and women throughout the year.

The Lights On Collective is grateful to have partnered with Terisa Griffin & Better Love Yourself Foundation to help prepare students for their college journey through our 3P Certified™ Experience. As part of this incredible day, The Lights On Collective was also honored to award a $1,000 college scholarship to one deserving student.

A special acknowledgement and happy anniversary to Terisa Griffin for her unwavering commitment to serving college-bound students for 20 years with college readiness trunks, preparation programming, encouragement and prayer!

Also, a special thanks to our volunteer LOC light agents, Monica Wiggins Josette Williams Thompson Kelli Hinton Moore who showed up ready to serve and support.

Maybe the problem isn't today's youth. Maybe it's our rules of engagement.

We can't expect today's generation to engage with yesterday's methods.
That's why The Lights On Collective's 4E Model; Educate, Engage, Encourage, and Empower, is designed to meet young people where they are and help them grow into who they're meant to become.

Research consistently shows that welcoming environments, active participation, and meaningful opportunities to contribute are key drivers of youth engagement and belonging.

We had a full house today at our 3RD 3P Program-Pathways! Teens had an opportunity to identify workforce and career areas that aligned with their interest and skills, hear a spotlight story from Brandon Nelson on his workforce & entrepreneurial journey and consider their own potential pathways beyond high school. Their futures are bright with possibilities!
