Brothers of the Great Lakes Region,
This weekend, I had the privilege of attending the Walter M. Clarke Leadership Institute, S.Hi.E.L.D. Symposium, and R.A. Billings Entrepreneurship Summit alongside a powerful contingent of collegiate and alumni brothers committed to the continued advancement of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
These convenings were more than just meetings — they were a reminder of our sacred responsibility to protect the house of Sigma, strengthen our brotherhood, and serve as intentional gatekeepers for the future of our beloved fraternity.
As Regional Director, I left encouraged, challenged, and inspired.
Three key takeaways stood out:
Leadership is not limited to a title.
Every brother in the room, whether collegiate or alumni, elected or appointed, plays a vital role in propelling our organization forward.
Moving Sigma forward requires adaptable leadership.
There is no one-size-fits-all approach. Our future will demand flexibility, collaboration, continuity, and a shared commitment to excellence across every level of the fraternity.
Our collegiate brothers are the future of Sigma.
Across every region, we have dynamic young leaders preparing to carry the mantle. It is our responsibility as leaders of today to mentor, guide, support, and invest in the next generation.
I am grateful for the opportunity to learn, engage, and build with brothers who remain committed to Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service. The work ahead is great, but so is the talent, passion, and dedication within our ranks.
Let us continue to lead with purpose, protect what has been entrusted to us, and build a stronger Sigma for generations to come.
Our cause speeds on its way.
