Dear 35th Anniversary Celebration Attendee:
As we near our 35th Anniversary Celebration, we want to share some specifics about our event so you know when to arrive and where to go.
Friday, August 8th
If you live in the Madison area or will be driving through Madison to get to The Lodge at Mauston, the site of our Celebration, you may want to join Jim Loeffler on Friday, August 8th at 11 am in Waunakee at the Lone Girl Brewery, 114 E Main St #101. Parking is in the back. You will depart the brewery at noon and head together to The Lodge, 104 Lodge Ln, Mauston, WI 53948.
If you are not going this way, you will want to be at The Lodge sometime after 3 pm to check into the hotel, get registered for the Celebration and pick up your Goody Bag and shirt, if you ordered one. Also at the Registration Table you will sign up for either the Saturday morning or afternoon drive -- they are the same -- and alternately the morning or afternoon Funcana. We will be lining up to leave the Lodge to head to Shipwreck Bay Restaurant at 5:15 for the fish fry. After a short scenic drive, we will have dinner at 6:00 pm. You may order from the menu and pay on your own. Back at The Lodge, our Hospitality Suites open at 8 PM for chatting and munching.
Saturday, August 9th
Saturday morning starts with a complimentary breakfast at 7:30 am. As mentioned in the last paragraph, we offer you one of two drives, and competive games with your car called a Funcana. Lunch on Saturday is on your own, either at a brewery for the morning drive group, or at a restaurant near The Lodge (a list is in your Goody Bag). During the Funcana we will be taking photos of you with your car, which we call “Prom Pics.”
The highlight of the Celebration is the Banquet Buffet at 6 PM at The Lodge, followed by dancing to live music and schmoozing with your friends. A cash bar is available in our Banquet room. During the Banquet, the Silent Auction will take place, prizes for contests will be awarded, and Door Prizes will be given!
Sunday, August 10th
We wrap up our event Sunday morning with our complimentary Farewell Breakfast at 8 am. Hotel check-out time is 11 am.
If you take photos throughout the event, we ask that you (1) send your best shots to [email protected] to post on our website; (2) also send them to [email protected] so they will be included in the post-event Scrapbook; and (3) if you are on the BMC Members Only page, post your best ones there.
