Congratulations to Stephen M. Kelley, MD, FACS, recipient of the 2026 ACS/Pfizer Surgical Humanitarian Award!

Since 1996, Dr. Kelley has dedicated his career to providing surgical care in southeastern Bangladesh. At Memorial Christian Hospital, he has expanded access to lifesaving treatment while mentoring healthcare professionals and building local training programs and sustainable systems of care.

His decades of compassionate service and commitment to strengthening surgical care have created an impact that will extend far beyond his own practice.
