We appreciate every donation we receive! Niles, IL 60714 The CLP "Starins", which means "ray of light" in Latvian, opened its doors on March 7, 2005.

t of Latvian and other cultures. The core values: Children come first! Teachers are mentors! Atmosphere nurtures! Parents add value! Curriculum prepares! By setting the highest standard of childcare and preschool curriculum, and proactively understanding the ongoing demographic marketplace, the CLP "Starins" has become the required extended family for the newest Latvian generation within the greater metropolitan Chicago area.

Today we celebrate our 21st wonderful year of learning, laughter and growing together. We are so grateful for our incredible teachers, supportive families, and of course our amazing little learners who make our preschool such a special place every day.

With only a handful of students, we don’t have hundreds of families sharing the load — every ticket, every donation, every guest truly keeps this little place going.

One night of community supports a whole year of learning, play, and growing.
