On August 9 The 8800 S. Parnell block club had an amazing book bag giveaway!

Thanks to the generous support from Kim of Life Quilt F, who donated 100 book-bags!

Randle Carter of Mentoring Youth Through Technology who donated 30 book-bags!

And, Alderman Ronnie Mosley of the 21st wonderful ward and their staff gave us 20!

As well as , Rebecca Carver from Humana provided goodies and supplies and valuable insight on various types of insurance and spent time with us. She invited had an unexpected guest, Representative Justin Slaughter who came with a great sense of humor !

But what made the day especially special ,was the many smiles on the children faces and the hope in their eyes!

THANK YOU 🙏🏽 EVERYONE THAT PARTICIPATED AND HELPED TO MAKE A GREAT DAY OF GIVING!
HAVE A GREAT SCHOOL YEAR!

We would like to thank Life Quilt Foundation for their donation of 30 children coats. Kim Holmes and her organization were a major source of support for us when they provided book bags and supplies for many students in our neighborhood! They again have done an amazing thing. They donated coats and hats and glove sets for the children in this neighborhood. We truly appreciate the difference Kim is making a difference in our community.

The 87, 88 and 89 blocks of Parnell thank you for your support!
