Amicettes: Girls 9 to 13 years of age willing to strive toward the high ideals of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and demonstrate potential for leadership in service to the community. Pearlettes: Girls under 9 years of age mentored by ladies of Zeta Phi Beta

April is Autism Awareness Month—a time to build understanding, show compassion and uplift the voices and experiences of individuals on the autism spectrum. It’s a chance to be intentional in how we lead our youth, reminding them that awareness is just the starting point—acceptance and inclusion are the true goals..

Autism, or Autism Spectrum Disorder, affects how individuals communicate, interact and experience the world. Many individuals with autism bring unique strengths, perspectives, and talents that deserve to be recognized and celebrated within our programs and communities.

On April 2nd, in recognition of World Autism Awareness Day, we encourage all Advisors and Youth to participate in Light It Up Blue by wearing light blue shirts. This simple act of unity helps spark awareness and shows support in a visible, meaningful way.

Reminder: Navigating Cyberspace & Technology Safely: Let's Talk About It! Zoom at 10:00 today.

Parents and youth are invited for a discussion on internet safety with time for Q & A at the end. Adults and youth will also have whole group and breakout sessions for more targeted discussions. This event is being presented by the Cook County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Cook County State's Attorney's Office.

*We encourage parents and youth to log in on seperate devices to get the most out of the event as there will be breakout opportunities.

The Youth of Zeta Tau Zeta Chapter took the morning to serve, beginning promptly at 7:00 a.m. with hearts ready for impact.

First Stop: We purchased, prepared, and served breakfast at Breakthrough Ministry. Every meal was cooked with love, compassion, and purpose—because when food is prepared with the heart, it nourishes more than the body; it feeds the soul.

Second Stop: We donated hats, scarves, and gloves to The Olive Branch. Through our Winter Accessories Drive, we were blessed to collect generously, ensuring warmth and comfort for those in need during the cold season.

As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. so powerfully reminded us:
“Everybody can be great, because anybody can serve.”

Today, our youth demonstrated that greatness is found in service. 💙

It’s the season of giving!

The Amicettes and Archonettes of the Zeta Tau Zeta Chapter did just that… they gave! Our youth did an excellent job preparing a “Meal From the Heart” at the Ronald McDonald House near Comer’s Children’s Hospital. Their menu was full of love—baked chicken, mac and cheese, green beans, rolls, and dessert!

Serving as youth is so important because it teaches them compassion, responsibility, and the value of helping others in need. When young people give their time and talent, they learn early that they have the power to make a difference—one act of kindness at a time. These experiences shape them into thoughtful, empathetic leaders who carry a heart for service into adulthood.
We are so proud of their commitment and their willingness to serve!
