We're pleased to introduce you to another recipient of our 2016 Summer Grants:

Global Spine Outreach is a group of scoliosis surgeons, allied health specialists and volunteers based in Homer Glen, Illinois. They provide surgeries to underprivileged children with spinal deformities around the world.

Global Spine Outreach is dedicated to providing advanced spinal treatments to underprivileged children around the world.

Urban Peak is anemergency shelter for homeless youth in Colorado Springs, CO providing basic needs in a safe environment. Urban Peak also provides intensive case management, health services and education & employment support.

Opportunity Knocks in River Forest, IL is an organization that serves young people who have intellectual and development disabilities through programs focused on building social, recreational and life-skills.

Today is World Refugee Day. This is an important time to remember that, like all of us, refugees are looking for a better life for themselves and their little ones.

“My main concern is to go to a safe country where I can bring up my child, and get her the treatment she needs, so she doesn’t waste her future. Our future is lost already, but it’s not fair that she should lose hers too.” Meet Syrian refugee Rasheed Tari from Aleppo and his one-year-old daughter Ella. Having arrived in Greece some months ago from Turkey, the family is now stuck in limbo waiting for resettlement in a new country.

Yeah! Young people doing great things for other kids. Just a little project can make a lot of people happy.

How cool is this? David Miller,a junior at OPRF and an Eagle Scout (National Eagle Scout Association), made Nok Hockey courts, sticks and pucks for all of our eight Hephzibah day care sites! Thanks David, the kids are going to love playing with these!

Doctors Without Borders needs you to to lower the price of the pneumonia vaccine to $5/child for all developing countries and humanitarian organizations.
