In Haiti, managing chronic diseases like diabetes, hypertension, and epilepsy is a daily struggle. Many must choose between food or life-saving medication—a choice no one should have to make.

At the Haitian Vision Foundation (HVF) Chronic Disease Clinic, we provide free medication to over 600 patients every month, ensuring they get the care they need. Just $25 can supply medication for 5 patients for a month!

Today, we share the incredibly moving story of Dieuseul, one of the brave hearts at the Haitian Vision Foundation clinic. Battling both hypertension and diabetes, Dieuseul's journey hasn't been easy. He faced the same health battles that took his parents far too early, grappling not just with the physical implications but also the heart-wrenching choices no one should have to make. 💔

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 "There were times when choosing between health and hunger was my reality. Buying medications often meant less food on the table for my family. It wasn't for the lack of trying - but lack of means," Dieuseul recalls.

This struggle is not his alone. It mirrors the plight of many in our community, which we are steadfastly committed to changing. 🤝

Through our health programs, we aim to ensure that individuals like Dieuseul no longer have to choose between medicine and meals. Your support helps us provide consistent, affordable (or free) healthcare services to those most in need. 🏥💊
