As October 1st approaches, Honeycomb must thank our incredible Golden Hour Gala Host Committee and Board of Directors! They have secured auction items, boosted attendance, and most of all, been Honeycomb's biggest champions. We could not have planned the Gala without them.

On Thursday, October 1, Honeycomb will celebrate its second annual Golden Hour Gala at the Wellsley, where we will continue to spotlight our Host Committee and Board of Directors for their diligence, commitment, and collaboration.

Time for a self-care session!

Last week, Honeycomb families assembled personalized self-care kits, filled with essential oils (hand-blended by our volunteers), face masks, journals, and more!

Guest House Foundation supports patients undergoing treatment and their families. We're constantly impressed by their commitment and so grateful for their partnership!

Another un-BEE-lievable weekend at Honeycomb DC!

Our Give a Big Bear Hug had a full house! Families made fleece blankets, puzzles, and activity worksheets for Children's National Hospital. As always, we're blown away by Honeycomb kids' creativity (shout-out to the puzzle on slide 3)!

For the first time since May, Honeycomb families visited the National Veterans Art Museum for our Make Cards for Military Families program! Using printing blocks, brayers, and paint, volunteers created custom cards for military families resettling in Chicago.

NEW PROJECT INCOMING!

Brickago is a youth-led non-profit that takes LEGO bricks out of landfills and places them into the hands of children throughout the city. Brickago was also founded by an alumni Honeycomb family (the Christensens), who we are thrilled to be partnering with for our first-ever Chicago LEGO Rescue project on September 19.

The September project is already at capacity, but the program will continue to run monthly! Keep in touch with Brickago on their website, and stay tuned for more LEGO Rescues this year.

The Golden Hour Gala is only THREE WEEKS AWAY!

On Thursday, October 1, Honeycomb families and supporters will gather at The Wellsley for a night of celebration, karaoke, and impact. Honeycomb HQ visited The (obviously gorgeous) Wellsley on Thursday to prepare for the event. We're thrilled to welcome folks into their beautiful space!
