Art can serve as a powerful tool for emotional healing and recovery. 🎨 🧘‍♀️ 💟
Now in its fourth year, the Art Competition invites Illinois residents ages 14+ to submit artwork that sheds light on the Journey from darkness to hope for those struggling with a gambling addiction.

Entries will be split into two categories:

🖼️ Visual Media: photography, sculpture, and painting
🎤 Literary Performance: spoken word, poetry, songs and short videos/film

Artwork will be judged by a professional jury. Awards for the selected artists will include stipends of $2,000, $1,000, and $500 in each category. Up to five high school students will also be awarded $100 Visa gift cards.

Entry is free, and the deadline to submit is March 31st, 2026.

🎀 Red Ribbon Week 2025 🎀

Today starts Red Ribbon week October 23rd–31st
“Life Is a Puzzle, Solve It Drug Free!” 🧩

Red Ribbon week is an opportunity for parents, educators, and communities to come together and educate those around them. During this week youth and adults pledge to increase awareness of the destructive effects of drug abuse and allow for a renewal of a healthy, drug-free life. This year's theme “Life Is a Puzzle, Solve It Drug Free!”, signifies the choices, friendships, habits, goals that everyone is made up from.

Let’s come together to celebrate living a drug-free life! 💪
Show your support by wearing red, encouraging one another, and spreading the message: Be proud. Be strong. Live drug free!

💪Prevention Works! It’s about strengthening protective factors — like strong family bonds, school engagement, and positive peer groups.

And reducing risk factors — like peer pressure, stress, or lack of supervision.

Small actions make a big difference. 💙
