I live on the highway, in the heart of a country town in Australia and every night, I hear the beast running wild. Tonight I've heard gunshots, people screaming at each other in the streets (hear this most nights) and quite often, in the early hours of the morning, there's a guy who walks past growling like a monster, not at anyone, just so full of bitterness and anger.
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the (instinctual & egocentric) things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit (divine nature), the (virtuous) things (characteristics) of the Spirit (divine nature). For to be carnally (instinctively & egocentrically) minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal (instinctual & egocentric) mind is enmity against God (absolute, undying, true love); for it is not subject to the law (virtues) of God (true love), nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. - Romans 8:5-8
Take a good long look and listen to the world around you. It's a wilderness of people who are blinded, deceived, governed and ruled by the beast of their flesh (ego) and its characteristic pride, vanity, envy, selfishness, ambition, lust, greed, desire for creature comfort and fear for survival, that's so easily pricked and wounded (offended) and reacts by rising up within them like a serpent, filling their minds with dark thoughts that have their Source In Negativity (SIN), that cause them to bear false witness, stomp, bellow and roar like a wounded bull or hiss and spit venomous words, and chances are, you are too to some degree. The fact you've instinctively and egocentrically resisted and turned away from me and the invitation God gave me to deliver, proves it.
Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? (Matthew 3:7) Yes, whether you believe it or not, understand it or not, like it or not, ready or not, that was me and I'm just a voice in a wilderness of souls who are too blinded, deceived, governed and ruled by the beast of their flesh and caught up in the world that's sprung from that which God calls Satan and man calls ego, to see or hear, let alone understand the honest to God truth I share or who I truly am, where I'm really coming from, who sent me and why, because your character's are all stained (marked) by the beast of your flesh, to some degree. So! If you really want to know where the beast is, just take a good, long, honest look in the mirror. For it's in all those who are blinded, deceived, governed and ruled by the instinctual, egocentric (sinful) nature of their flesh.
