Leadership Greater Chicago

Leadership Greater Chicago Leadership Greater Chicago (LGC) creates lifelong partnerships and develops community awareness among leaders in the Chicago metropolitan area.

Leadership Greater Chicago is more than a network, it's a community of change agents. n. LGC removes any filters, providing an honest look at what is happening in our communities. Those who participate in the program never view the world in quite the same way again. Each month the Fellows focus on one challenge. Past topics have included:

• Education
• Race and Ethnic Relations
• Healthcare
• Housing
• Crime and Violence
• Philanthropy and Volunteerism

This experiential program gives Chicago's leaders the tools they need to emerge ready to help shape policies and build the future of the Chicago region.

As we mark our nation's 250th anniversary, it's time to come together and consider the meaning of this moment as civic leaders. This is more than a historical milestone; it is an active responsibility and call-to-action to renew and deepen our commitment to civic engagement.

“As we observe the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, we are called to reflect on both our nation's progress made and the work still required to build a more equitable, inclusive and thriving society," said Leadership Greater Chicago (LGC) CEO Myetie Hamilton (LGC Fellow since 2016). “By reflecting on our history, we can better shape our shared future. This is an opportunity for our courageous and diverse community of cross-sector civic leaders to amplify their commitment to collective activation and bridge divides to meet the moment for our city, region, country and world.” Learn more about how Chicago and LGC are marking America's 250th here: https://bit.ly/4oXVn9V
