Last Wednesday, KAN-WIN joined 18 other organizations in the Pan-Asian Voter Empowerment (PAVE) Coalition at the Illinois State Capitol for Asian American Action Day! It was truly empowering to stand alongside nearly 500 Asian American community members demanding for change. We were grateful for the opportunity to meet with many supportive Illinois lawmakers to advocate for meaningful legislation that will protect and uplift Asian American communities. Together, we are building a future we deserve.

Throughout April, , Kanwin Elevate leaders presented their High School Sexual Assault Survivor guide to local high school clubs, including Stevenson High School, Barrington High School, and IMSA. ELEVATE's ongoing advocacy hopes to equip the community with skills to support survivors and increase visibility of school, medical, legal, and counseling resources for survivors in the Chicagoland area.
