I relocated here less than a year and a half ago and God has done some great things - I attend Council Meetings and residents are not present- FYI they are held twice monthly- there are council members representing you and saying they have not heard from their constituents about issues that directly affect you- let’s get involved

Faith is preceding this post - most have seen the building that the Lord has placed in my hands along with His Vision - I am asking for your help to assist with the positive addition to Oelwein - still in need of a plumber to provide estimate for upgrade - Miller Electric has provided the necessary upgrade to electrical - In addition - by Faith - there is still much needed to support God's Plan - all donations are tax deductible (IB me for details) - they are: Fridge, 6-burner stove, stackable washer/dryer, Freezer (to support meals that the Center will provide); toiletries (for men and women), cleaning products, linen (no sheets - only towels and facecloths), pots. pans and other kitchen items - the Vision is limitless - but with your help!!

Welcome to the Oelwein Community Reach Center page - Shama Ministries (Rebecca Sankey, President) is a not-for-profit organization and yesterday was approved to open the first Community Reach Center, which it plans to be located in the building at 9 1st Street SW, Oelwein.

The Vision for this Center includes services to reach the entire communities, at large - seniors, youth, individuals and families. Just a few of the services - free meals - two to three times weekly, information regarding various resources to be available to the entire community, welcoming environment for all to come.

The Center is in need of volunteers. There is much work to be done to restore the building, as well as volunteers needed to assist in the day-to-day.

All suggestions regarding what you would like to see incorporated in this vision is welcomed and will be considered while planning is being done.
