James Conklin Memorial Scholarship

The mission of the James Conklin Memorial Scholarship is to honor an aspiring comedian with the means to attend the iO Summer Intensive.

The mission of the James Conklin Memorial Scholarship is to support members of the Chicago comedy community through directly funding their creative projects, training, and providing relief to individuals in the community during times of hardship. Each recipient will receive $3,000 to go towards classes, housing, transportation, and other necessities during the five weeks of the intensive. You can

find out more about the iO intensive program on the iO website. To apply for the scholarship, fill out and upload a copy of the application on our website or email your packet to [email protected]. For your packet, you will need to attach the information sheet, at least two references, a performance resume, and a video showing our board members your silliness and what you will bring to our Chicago comedy community. To donate, please visit our website as well! We are currently applying for tax-exempt status.
