Reporting to the Athletics Director, Head Coaches (Basketball, Football, Baseball, Soccer, Volleyball, Softball, Track & Field, eSports, Cheer & Dance, Tennis) are the lead mentors who manage the day-to-day operations of a specific youth sports team and also plays a major role in developing their skills, health and moral character for the welfare or well-being of the general public.
The Head Coach (Youth Sports) is a part-time independent contractor position earning potentially a $1,000- $2,000 3-month stipend ($8,000 annually), paid out from a commission-based percentage contract from registration fees of recruited participants on their team.

Job Responsibilities & Duties
Organize and schedule practice sessions on a regular basis with the concept of developing the athlete’s greatest potential.
Have a thorough knowledge of all players’ strengths and weaknesses.
Organize and maximize the skills of your assistant coaches.
Delegate responsibility accordingly among the program staff.
Emphasize safety precautions.
Be educated on proper conditioning, training, and injury procedures.
Keep accurate reports on injured players and maintain lines of communication with the Athletics Director or others in charge of injuries or back-to-play releases.
Teach the fundamentals of youth sports and instruct all subordinates to do likewise.
Assume responsibility for the constant care of equipment and facilities.
Maintain proper supervision in the gyms, fields, locker rooms, weight room, and other facilities during use by youth sports athletes.
Discipline athletes in a consistent manner while providing a means for parents and athletes to discuss concerns with you.
Maintain a neat and orderly locker room facility.
Be a positive, motivating, and enthusiastic member of our coaching staff and present yourself in a professional manner when dealing with parents and students.
Be responsible for the actions of coaches and players conduct during practice and games.
Requirements/Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience in teaching/coaching youth sports.
1-2 years of experience with the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) is a plus.
Double-Goal Coaching or NHFS/IHSA Coaching Certifications are preferred but not required.
Willing to work weekends if necessary.
Able to pass a state and federal background check according to law regulations.
First Aid/CPR Certified is preferred.
Must have a valid driver’s license or state ID.
