Every year, there are more than 350,000 cardiac arrests – most of them in public settings. According to the American Heart Association, 90% of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests are fatal. Through immediate CPR and an automated external defibrillator (AED), the chance for survival can double or even triple.

During CPR and AED Awareness Week, take time to learn CPR (including hands-only CPR) and how to use an AED. Learn how to get involved and find training by visiting https://www.heart.org/en/nation-of-lifesavers
