Sunday we had a great time spending time with the kids and staff there. Fortunately the weather cooperated and we were able to BBQ as planned and make burgers 🍔, hotdogs 🌭, fried chicken 🍗 , mac & cheese, and cookies, everything you need to fill bellies with delicious food!⁣ ⁣

⁣⁣Each kid also got a gift card to Target to pick out a toy or clothes or books, whatever they enjoy most. They get to go shopping and this will let them pick out what they truly want. Thanks to AJR Specialty Products for their generosity!⁣

We are so excited to work together with LYDIA Home for our next Feed Chicago event this weekend! Check out Lydia’s website to learn more about their mission, but in short, Lydia provides HOPE, HEALING, and HOME to children in foster care. Lydia empowers children exposed to trauma to believe in a brighter tomorrow.

This is a mission we at Feed Chicago can get behind and believe in so much, we’ve decided to not only provide a delicious BBQ cooked meal, but want to also bring toys to the kids at Lydia’s. We know it’s a small gesture in the grand scheme, but hope that it’ll bring the kids joy and hope for a better future. Happy Monday! We can't get over how much fun we had at our last event. We are so grateful to and for inviting us to their summer bash last week. We were so happy to provide free meals to over 200 individuals who came to the event 🍔. It was great to see different organizations get together to provide various services and resources helping make a positive impact for over 200 individuals that attended the event. Shout out to nt for hosting the event at their beautiful venue on such a beautiful Chicago summer night!

Thanks to everyone, donors and volunteers, for making this event happen and helping us provide for the awesome community of Chicago. We have our next event on the calendar and we are excited to share more details on that soon! Please let us know if you are interested in volunteering or donating to our cause. Our donor's money goes straight to those in need. We believe in empowering our community and giving hope to those who need it most. We want to make sure that those who are willing to donate their money, know that it goes to those who really need it. I promise you, these people are so appreciative of the help.
