Come out and give Rory a hard ti ... I mean a hand while he leads the Dan Ryan Woods Volunteer Day tomorrow (Saturday 9/12). We will be cutting and burning brush and possibly seed collecting, so please dress in closed-toed shoes, long pants, and long sleeves if you don't like mosquitos and poison ivy.

Meet at the 91st and Hermitage parking lot near the blue storage pod at 10 am and we'll be out until about 1 pm. Bring a water bottle and any other provisions that will help you enjoy the day.

And no worries, Susan will be there to back him up.

Random trail repair picture for tax.

UPDATE' VOLUNTEER DAY CANCELLED DUE TO RAIN

It's the rain that will keep us away this month. Our volunteer day has been canceled. Rain will just make it too muddy out there and will cause damage to the woods. Hope to see you in February.

Start the year off right by volunteering at Dan Ryan Woods on Saturday

It might be a little wet, but not too cold, and we are expecting a bunch of guests, so please join us at 10 am on Saturday at the 91st Street parking lot at Dan Ryan Woods for our monthly ecological restoration volunteer day!

The parking lot is just north of 91st and Hermitage, near the Meadery and the 91st Metra Station. We meet by the blue storage container.

We will be cutting and burning brush, so dress warmly, bring a full water bottle, and we'll provide the rest.

For more information please call Benjamin at 773-398-1178.
