We are an all volunteer group working with neighbors, youth groups, corporate volunteers, and scouts to clean up, clear brush, fix trails, and get things done.

Join us on the second Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to help our beloved woods!

It's that time again, join us tomorrow for our monthly volunteer day at Dan Ryan Woods. We will meet at the 91st Street parking lot at 10:00 a.m. and work until about 1:00 p.m. collecting seeds. Please wear long pants and closed-toed shoes and bring a water bottle. If you have any questions, reach out to Benjamin at 773-398-1178.

YIKES: this should have had Saturday the February 14th on it. It is not this Saturday the 7th!

Third time's the charm?!

December was too cold and January was too wet, but Saturday is looking great for our monthly volunteer day at Dan Ryan Woods.

UPDATE' VOLUNTEER DAY CANCELLED DUE TO RAIN

It's the rain that will keep us away this month. Our volunteer day has been canceled. Rain will just make it too muddy out there and will cause damage to the woods. Hope to see you in February.

Wanting to learn invasive tree removal, brush pile, burning, and more? Now's your chance! 🎉

Join us at Dan Ryan Woods this Saturday for our NEWTS (New Volunteer Training and Support) Day! You'll be provided with tools, PPE, and seasoned volunteers and staff to guide you through the stewardship process! We will be holding a brush pile burn to keep warm, and light snacks and refreshments will also be provided!
