We are excited to welcome Aaron Salzberg as the new Chief Executive Officer of AWRA!

Aaron brings more than 25 years of leadership in water policy, water resources management, international development, climate resilience, and hydrological science. His distinguished career includes serving as the U.S. Department of State's first Special Coordinator for Water Resources, where he helped develop the United States' first Global Water Strategy and advanced international cooperation on water security.

A longtime supporter of AWRA, Aaron understands the vital role our multidisciplinary community plays in connecting science, policy, and practice to solve today's complex water challenges. As AWRA looks to the future, Aaron will focus on expanding partnerships, strengthening our professional community, supporting the next generation of water leaders, and advancing science-based solutions to today's most pressing water issues.
