Every Step of the Way Resource Center NFP ESW provides resources &/or referrals for intellectually disabled adults in their areas of need.

In 2018, the founder of Every Step of the Way Resource Center for Adults with Intellectual Disabilities (ESW), Tiffoni T. Stepney, realized there were limited programs & resources in her area for her daughter after her daughter exited the special education system at the age of 22, despite living in one of the largest populated cities in the United States. The limited programs & resources she did encounter were either not individualized, for high-functioning adults, subpar in regard to the education her daughter had received in the past, not in proximity, unaffordable, or had part-time hours. Tiffoni soon realized that she was not the only parent with the same unfortunate circumstances of caring for an adult child with a lifelong disability, which does not cease at the age of 22. In 2022, Tiffoni decided to utilize her credentials & experience as a certified regular educator, a certified special educator, & a parent to create a resource center for adults with intellectual disabilities ages 20 & up, which supports their parents with comprehensive resources that cater to their child’s areas of need.

Happy Monday, all👋! You don’t want to miss Every Step of the Way Resource Center NFP ‘s resource fair this year. Why? This year’s resource fair is going to be more impactful this year than last year. Check out the presentation & vendor lineup🤗! This event is happening in 3 WEEKS, so don’t wait if you haven’t registered. Hello all👋!! We’re calling today What’s Good Wednesday. What’s good is The 2nd Annual Catch-22 Resource Venue has an exciting new addition to our event, which is the PUNS Pop-up! Community Service Options, Inc. will sign up attendees who live in their service area for PUNS!
Attendees can also expect the following:
☘️ A live secondary transition planning presentation by Family Matters Parent Training and Information Center to prepare parents, professionals, & transition age students for aging out of the special education system
☘️Free photo booth pictures by GBoothPhotos (an entrepreneur who is a self-advocate)
☘️RTA - Regional Transportation Authority - Illinois will be signing interested attendees up for reduced fare cards (click the registration link for more details)
☘️ A relax & renew sensory room
☘️ & Much More!
