Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers on the South Side!
The journey to motherhood brings challenges that no one should have to navigate alone. Today, we’re sharing the story of Keyonna Tompkins, our Program Manager for Maternal Health & Chronic Disease, whose personal experience reminds us why wraparound support matters for mothers.
During her own high-risk pregnancy, Keyonna experienced symptoms she thought were “normal” and didn’t speak up about it. She soon went into labor without realizing it and gave birth 13 weeks premature. Today, she uses her story to empower other mothers to trust their instincts and ask questions.
At SSHCO, we’re here to support you before, during, and after your pregnancy.
